I know it’s hard to think about a presidential election that’s months away when many are dealing with economic insecurity, health concerns, and anxiety about the ongoing pandemic. But the lack of leadership should be a stark reminder of how much better we could have handled COVID-19 and it starts at the top with our president.
I’ve been a longtime supporter of Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential bid. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Joe for years, going back to when he helped me start the House Blue Collar Caucus. I know he not only can beat Donald Trump in November, but he’ll put working class families first, just as he’s always done in his long career in public service.
This week has been a monumental one with huge endorsements coming in from Senator Bernie Sanders and also President Barack Obama (you can watch his endorsement video by clicking here). It’s up to all of us to come together to defeat Trump and I am encouraged by the way our party is coming together to rally behind Joe.
