First, Trump campaigned on overturning Roe v. Wade, and he appointed far-right judges to the Supreme Court who made that happen.
Then, He suggested that he would be open to states trying to restrict access to contraceptives after Louisiana signaled its intent to pass a bill to classify birth control as a “dangerous substance.”
Now, Trump is trying to roll back his comments after facing backlash:
"Trump backtracks after suggesting he's open to states restricting birth control access" –The Washington Post
Don’t be mistaken. Trump and the far-right are coming for birth control just like they came for abortion and IVF. They’re stopping at nothing to control bodily autonomy and rip rights away from women across the country.
That’s why I’m working in Congress to do whatever it takes to protect and expand access to over-the-counter contraception and birth control, and also working to codify IVF.
But I’m up against a MAGA opponent this November who boasts a “100% anti-choice” voting record, so I need your support. Will you contribute to my re-election campaign to keep me in Congress fighting for reproductive rights?
