"Bergman, not Gaetz, is top spender under House reimbursement program" -The Hill

A recent report revealed that my Republican opponent, Jack Bergman, is a top spender in a tax-payer-funded program for his own food and lodging expenses.

Bergman has been the first to call for transparency and accountability when it comes to how taxpayer dollars are used — but so far, has been one of the last to follow through.

Words need to be followed by actions, and in his first term, Bergman has voted AGAINST infrastructure funding.

When rural communities like MI-01 are neglected, we need leaders who will put their money where their mouth is and follow through on funding much-needed infrastructure projects like rural broadband and strengthening our middle class by lowering costs and supporting small businesses.
