Two weeks ago in Geneva, things did not go according to the Left's plans.

When the delegates gathered for the 77^th annual World Health Assembly to adopt a pandemic agreement and new amendments to the international health regulations (IHR), the global elites were expecting an easy victory. But things didn't exactly pan out as they had planned.

While the World Health Assembly was unfortunately able to push through dozens of bad amendments to the International Health Regulations in the 11^th hour, they ultimately failed to advance their dangerous "pandemic agreement."

Thanks to you joining with us in prayer, your support that enabled us to be in Geneva, and most importantly, the grace of God, the Left's plans for global governance were thwarted -- at least for now.

Since the beginning, FRC has been leading the charge against this growing threat to our national sovereignty and was one of the first organizations in the country to sound the alarm, drawing attention to the WHO's activities on Washington Watch and The Washington Stand, and mobilizing believers to raise their voices in opposition.

Understanding the urgency of the situation, FRC sent our Vice President for Policy and Government Affairs and Policy Editor for The Washington Stand, Travis Weber, to report on the assembly's meetings and activities live from Geneva.

And at the end of May, we saw the Lord delay the pandemic agreement and frustrate the globalists' timeline!

While we celebrate what God did in Geneva, we know this battle isn't over yet.

At the end of the 77^th World Health Assembly, Director-General of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, firmly stated, "Although the pandemic agreement has not yet been finalized, the health assembly has charted the way forward. It has agreed to extend the mandate of the intergovernmental negotiating body to finalize negotiations on the pandemic agreement as soon as possible... by next year's World Health Assembly, at the latest."

Make no mistake: this dangerous accord will rear its ugly head again and we cannot allow this threat to national sovereignty to succeed.

As Christians, we understand this moment in history: gutting national autonomy in favor of global decision-making will spell trouble for the freedom of all people around the world.

The Bible warns us against trying to replace God with the idol of collective human government:

"Then they said, 'Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.'" (Genesis 11:4 ESV).

Together, we must defend the faith against this new tower of babel.

As we look ahead to the election this fall, the WHO's global power grab should serve as a reminder of why it's important to pray, VOTE, and stand.

We must be sure to elect a president who will protect American sovereignty and keep the pandemic agreement where it belongs: dead in the water.
