20 Years of Camp Diva Leadership Academy

For over two decades GFAC has been providing a safe and brave space for Black girls. We are profoundly grateful for the continuous support that has allowed us to provide a space where girls can try new things, explore passions, develop their voice, and be in sisterhood. The remarkable success of our camp is a testament to the contributions of our current and past camp coaches, facilitators, volunteers, donors, and parents.

We are full of gratitude as we uphold the tradition of learning and sisterhood for another year. As we gear up to celebrate the 20th year of Camp Diva, here are some ways you can support us.

We only have a few spots left

At Camp Diva, we provide a nurturing environment through engaging activities and a strong sense of sisterhood to help our campers embrace change with positivity and resilience.

There are only 4 spots remaining:

2 for 5th-7th grade girls
2 for 8th-9th grade girls

Annual Portrait of a Black Teen Girl Photoshoot: Call for Volunteers & Snack Donations

The Annual Portrait of a Black Teen photoshoot is a cherished tradition that captures the beauty of transition from girl to teenhood. This is something we focus on at Camp Diva since moving up can sometimes be daunting. Our camp participants get all dressed up and enjoy time together posing for the camera for headshots and beautiful portraits!

We need your help to make this event a success! We're looking for volunteers and snack donations for our photoshoot on July 19th. If you can lend a hand or contribute, please sign up.

Call for Camp Diva Facilitators!

Each year we welcome small business owners, educators, chefs, yoga instructors, mental health and wellness professionals, and so many more to help campers learn new skills and gain exposure to the many ways passions often turn into professions. We've opened sign ups to facilitators for this year's sessions. Sessions are no longer than an hour and can be on any topic of your choosing!

We're inviting alumnae, parents, and community members to enjoy a day filled with joy, memories, and community spirit as we honor two decades of investing in Black girls. As we get ready to close out our fiscal year, we're celebrating our longevity and sustained commitment to Black girls with an ask that you do the same: Celebrate 20 years with a $20 monthly commitment. Every dollar goes directly towards sustaining and expanding our programs, reaching more girls, and creating meaningful experiences that shape futures.
