James,
Our Revolution is proud to invite you to a Special Event to support Jonathan Tasini - our endorsed candidate for the Portland, Oregon City Council - this Thursday, June 13th, at 5:30pm ET!
Jonathan is a long-time labor activist and he’s committed to leading the fight for workers in Portland as an elected official.
That’s why Liz Shuler, President of the AFL-CIO, is hosting this fundraising event along with other union leaders and progressive leaders, including Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese.
We’re encouraging our supporters in the DMV area to split a contribution with Jonathan and Our Revolution. But even if you are unable to donate - come out, listen to his ideas, and support his campaign in any way you can.
RSVP here to join us in D.C. on Thursday to meet Jonathan Tasini and learn more about his plans to bring creative ideas and a relentless commitment to working people to the Portland City Council.
Jonathan has the most union endorsements of any of the 70+ candidates vying for seats on the newly restructured Portland City Council. An entire new government structure means a clean slate—a totally new 12-member City Council.
This is a chance to think big, do great policy and be a labor laboratory for the entire country. We all talk about building power from the local level — this is a huge opportunity to do so.
Jonathan is knocking on every door in the district and meeting voters every day. Your support will help him reach more voters with his message. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated (The maximum donation is $350 for any individual or organization). Even if you cannot donate - come out, listen to his ideas, and support his campaign in any way you can.
RSVP to meet Jonathan Tasini in Ashington D.C. on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Jonathan has the most labor support, by far, including UAW; Northwest Oregon Labor Council (the Portland citywide labor federation); Columbia Pacific Building and Construction Trades Council; Portland Association of Teachers; Teamsters Joint Council 37; UA Local 290; Boilermakers Local 104; IBEW Local 48; Iron Workers Local 29; LIUNA Local 483; IUPAT DC 5; Laborers Local 737; and more.
We hope you’ll join these workers and Our Revolution in our support for Tasini — and meet us in Ashington in D.C. this Thursday at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers at 20001900 Seventh Street NW.
Hope to see you there — RSVP HERE!
