John,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of my campaign for Congress.
We are inside of 60 days until the primary election – the day we can officially rally the party to make John James a one-term Congressman. We’re never forgetting the roots of this campaign come from a union family and hard work, and we’re leaving no stone unturned to cover every corner of our district.
Every day we gain more supporters across our district, and with each new supporter, we’re more and more ready to flip this district and the House.
I will continue hitting the ground to deliver the change we deserve, and I hope I get the chance to see you too. But until then, here are a few highlights from the campaign trail.
I had an incredible time at the Michigan Democratic Party's Legacy Dinner! I’m so proud of all the hard work our party has put in. With the biggest election ahead of us, Michigan is ready to show the country how to win up and down the ballot – and it starts right here in MI-10!
I was proud to stand with the hardworking members of Roofers and Waterproofers Local 149 this morning as they went on strike! I'm committed to fighting for fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right to organize. Let's show our solidarity and support for these dedicated workers who are essential to building our communities. Together, we can make a difference!
I attended the MDP Women's Caucus' 36th Annual Legacy Luncheon and the Detroit NAACP's 69th Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner. Their commitment to equality and justice left us all ready to take action. Thank you to everyone working behind the scenes that made these events a resounding success, and let’s keep the arc bending toward justice for all.
I joined the Oakland County Medical Society for an informative meet and greet. Addressing the healthcare challenges facing our community is critically important. Healthcare is a right, and every American deserves access to affordable, high-quality care.
I am grateful to the Ukrainian community for having me at the Ukrainian Cultural Center for an event of solidarity. I support Ukraine because it's vital to stand with nations that share our democratic values. Now, more than ever, we must oppose Russian aggression.
And a huge thanks to the Clinton Township Democratic Club for organizing this fantastic effort to keep our neighborhoods tidy. I grew up here in Macomb and I'm dedicated to cleaning up our streets because this is my home, and that’s the love and dedication I will bring to Washington!
I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who has joined our movement, and it’s humbling to see our hard work pay off as we’re only beginning to grow.
But if we’re going to flip this seat, we need to keep the momentum going through the end of the year. We’ll need grassroots donors like yourself to keep this campaign going strong.
If you can, please make a grassroots contribution to fuel our people-powered campaign and make John James a one-term Congressman.
Thank you,
Diane
