John —
I know these are challenging and uncertain times. We’re living through a moment that underscores the need for strong leadership in Washington. With that in mind, I wanted to reach out with an explanation about why it’s so important we flip this U.S. Senate seat — and why it’s crucial that we work together to do it.
You may not know this, but the majority of our contributions come from folks (like you!) making small-dollar donations, like $4 or $10. And our average online gift this year is just $21.89.
That says a lot about the campaign we’re building, John. We are doing this thing the right way — especially when compared to our Republican opponent, Thom Tillis, who is backed by corporate special interests.
As you may already know, several recent polls in this race show us defeating Tillis in November. This is what happens when you run a campaign of the people, by the people, and for the people.
Your support is the primary reason we’re in a position to finally elect an independent-minded leader to the U.S. Senate who will fight for us — not the corrupt Washington establishment.
Our mid-month deadline is at midnight tonight and we’re just shy of our fundraising goal. I’m hoping, if you’re able, you’d consider adding a donation to our campaign for U.S. Senate before then.
There are a lot of Senate races in 2020, but few are more competitive than our campaign against Tillis. In fact, we’re on track to be the most expensive Senate race in the nation. But I know this incredible team has what it takes to match them dollar for dollar, that’s why Washington Republicans are taking it seriously — so are we.
Thanks in advance for chipping in, especially during this difficult time. I’m so thankful that you’re a part of this team as we work to flip this seat.
All my best,
— Cal
