Tell the Trump Administration that vape shops are NOT essential businesses – especially during a lung disease crisis!

ACTION ALERT

John,

In a new low, vape shops are lobbying the Trump Administration to be declared "essential businesses" so they can stay open during the COVID-19 crisis. This is ludicrous and we need your help to stop it.

E-cigarettes could well put users – many of whom are kids – at greater risk for serious complications from COVID-19. Big Tobacco has addicted a whole new generation of kids – 5.3 million and counting – with flavors designed to appeal to them, like Captain Crunch and Gummy Bear. And their products have not been proven to help smokers quit.

Furthermore, the evidence is clear that vape shops, which often claim to sell only to adults, are selling illegally to kids across the country, every day.

It is the height of disgrace for the vaping industry to argue that e-cigarettes, which damage the lungs, should be considered essential during a lung disease pandemic. It has never been more urgent for us to protect our kids and their health, not vape shops.

Send a message to the White House today urging the Trump Administration to reject vape shops as "essential businesses."

Thanks for your advocacy,

Laurie Rubiner
