Police Have Made No Arrests in Anti-Israel Protests Outside White House

Daily Wire: Various law enforcement agencies said they did not make any arrests related to the anti-Israel protest on Saturday in which people trashed a park next to the White House. The Secret Service, D.C. police, and U.S. Park Police said that they did not detain anyone in connection to the demonstration at Lafayette Park in Washington, D.C., that left a number of statues vandalized (Daily Wire). Free Beacon: A White House spokesman said protesters have the right to assemble outside the White House but condemned Hamas. “President Biden has always been clear that every American has the right to peacefully express their views,” spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement. “But he has also always been clear that anti-Semitism, violent rhetoric, and endorsing murderous terrorist organizations like Hamas is repugnant, dangerous, and against everything we stand for as a country” (Free Beacon).

Teenagers Pun in Jail for Leaving Marks on Street Mural of Pride Flag on Street
In case anyone had questions of selective justice. HotAir: We live in the weirdest times. Times when you can get arrested for driving in the street but not for trashing schools, libraries, national monuments, or even attacking the police (HotAir). Andy Ngo: Spokane, Wash. — 3 teens are each charged with a felony (first-degree malicious mischief) for leaving scooter skid marks on the pride trans BLM flag on the street. Prosecutors asked for a $15k bond & Lime Bike says it is taking action against the youths (X). Kat Kanada: They literally put teenagers in jail for riding with their scooters on the pride painted road. In JAIL!!! If the alphabet mafia does not want wheel marks or tire marks on their flag, then DON’T paint the roads with it! This is clownery (X)!!!

Nancy Pelosi Claims Responsibility for National Guard Not Being in Capital on Jan 6
Just the News: Moments after being whisked away from the U.S. Capitol after it was breached on Jan. 6, 2021, then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was captured on videotape declaring “I take responsibility” for failing to have a better security plan for the complex that fateful day, according to footage released Monday by House GOP investigators. “We have responsibility, Terri. We did not have any accountability for what was going on there, and we should have,” Pelosi is heard saying on the videotape. “This is ridiculous” (Just the News). Benny Johnson: Nancy Pelosi admits she was responsible for the National Guard on January 6th: “I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more” (X).

Hunter Biden’s Defense Team Rests Case Without Testifying
National Review: Hunter Biden’s legal team rested its case in his felony gun trial on Monday without the first son taking the stand in his own defense. Hunter’s lawyer Abbe Lowell on Friday left open the possibility of Hunter testifying, but ultimately opted against the high-risk maneuver. Lowell declined to call any witnesses on Monday after two gun-store employees and Hunter’s daughter Naomi testified on his behalf on Friday (National Review). ABC: Hunter Biden is charged with three felonies stemming from his purchase of a revolver in Oct. 2018. Two of the charges are related to accusations that he made false statements on a federal gun form about his drug use, certifying he was not a user of or addicted to any controlled substance during a period when prosecutors allege he was addicted to crack cocaine. The other charge is for allegedly owning the gun unlawfully, possessing the weapon for 11 days before Hallie Biden found and discarded it. Hunter Biden has pleaded not guilty to the charges (ABC).

UN Security Council Adopts U.S. Resolution Calling for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza
Axios: The UN Security Council adopted a resolution on Monday calling on Hamas to accept a hostage and ceasefire deal. The U.S. presented the resolution as part of a diplomatic effort to increase international pressure on Hamas to accept the U.S.-backed proposal. 14 member states voted yes on the resolution while Russia abstained. U.S. officials hoped that with Russia and China not vetoing the resolution it would influence Hamas’ decision-making. The latest: Hamas said in a statement it welcomes the Security Council’s call for a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza and stressed it is ready to work with the mediators on implementing the principles of the resolution (Axios). Daily Wire: The resolution cites the “importance of the ongoing diplomatic efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States aimed at reaching a comprehensive ceasefire deal, consisting of three phases,” then states that it “Welcomes the new ceasefire proposal announced on May 31, which Israel accepted, calls upon Hamas to also accept it, and urges both parties to fully implement its terms without delay and without condition” (Daily Wire). Caroline Glick: The administration is escalating its war against Israel. Its purpose is to force Israel to capitulate to Hamas/Iran and lose the war, accomplishing none of its goals – leaving Hamas in power, leaving most hostages in Gaza, ensuring Gaza is a perpetual threat to Israel, and joined forthwith by Judea and Samaria in a “state” whose sole purpose is to annihilate the Jewish state (X).

Biden to Negotiate Release of American Hostages After Eight Months
NBC: Biden administration officials have discussed potentially negotiating a unilateral deal with Hamas to secure the release of five Americans being held hostage in Gaza if current cease-fire talks involving Israel fail, according to two current senior U.S. officials and two former senior U.S. officials. Such negotiations would not include Israel and would be conducted through Qatari interlocutors, as current talks have been, said the officials, all of whom have been briefed on the discussions (NBC). HotAir: But there’s another issue with timing, which is: why now after eight months? If this were truly a legitimate effort, Biden and Blinken would have conducted parallel negotiations all along. In fact, this calls into question — again — why Biden didn’t demand the release of American hostages in November, when he took credit for the deal that released over a hundred hostages and resulted in an eight-day operational pause. (Which Hamas violated) Only one American got released, a toddler who became part of a bonus exchange at the end. And ever since, the Biden administration has barely mentioned the fact that Hamas is holding Americans hostage, and the media doesn’t discuss it at all unless pressed to do so (HotAir).

Doctor: Israeli Hostages Beaten Daily by Hamas
Times of Israel: The doctor overseeing the recovery of four Israeli hostages rescued from the Gaza Strip said Monday that they were beaten regularly during their captivity by the Hamas terror group. Dr. Itai Pessach of Sheba Medical Center outside Tel Aviv told CNN that the hostages suffered almost daily abuse and that their time in captivity was “a harsh, harsh experience.” “Every hour, both physical, mental, and other types, and that is something that is beyond comprehension,” Pessach said (Times of Israel).

Looters Ransack Store in Los Angeles
NBC Los Angeles: Dozens of burglars stormed into an AutoZone in the South Los Angeles area early Monday after someone tore down the automotive store’s security gate. Video of the break-in showed a group of about 50 people enter the store at about 4 a.m. Video showed items from the store scattered in the parking lot. Neighbors said the break-in was at about the same time as a street takeover in the area. One arrest was reported. The intruders left behind broken windows and other damage (NBC Los Angeles). End Wokeness: Last night in Los Angeles: $11,000 stolen. 50+ looters. Only 1 arrest (X).

Foreign-Born Workers Account for Half of Job Growth
Newsmax: The Bureau of Labor Statistics said the foreign-born population filled 840,000 new jobs over the last seven months. The overall labor force participation rate declined to 62.5% compared to 62.7% for April. The pre-pandemic level was 63.3%. “Nearly half of all job growth since October can be attributed to various immigrant groups, including illegal immigrants, showing a far weaker economy than suggested,” the Republican-led House Budget Committee said (Newsmax). Economist E.J. Antoni: All of the net job growth over the last year has gone to foreign-born workers, (a category which the Labor Dept. admits includes illegal aliens) (X).

Democrat Operative James Carville Not Happy With Biden on the Ballot
New York Post: Veteran top Democratic consultant James Carville says he wishes President Biden wasn’t running for re-election and worries that disenchanted young party voters will sit out the November election because of it. “I thought that President Biden should not run for re-election,” the political guru said. “But he did — it’s him and Trump — and that’s where I am.” Carville argued that the Democrats have a deep bench of younger elected officials who would be a better fit for the times than the 81-year-old Biden, including Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and House Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of Brooklyn (New York Post). Townhall: As a loyal soldier, Carville also said he’s voting for Biden, but the enthusiasm isn’t there among the liberal base for Biden to win. The 2024 race will be a base election, and Biden has serious issues among core liberal groups. Based on early polling data, Black and Latino voters are drifting into the Trump camp—Hispanics especially (Townhall).
