Earlier this year, Mitch McConnell and other Republican dark-money donor groups pledged to spend millions of dollars in order to keep their hold on the Senate. A lot has changed since then but their efforts to expand their majority in the Senate have not.

One of the most important steps we can take to stop the spread of the coronavirus is to observe social distancing guidance. Our campaign takes these recommendations seriously which is why we’ve switched to working from home and have canceled all in-person fundraisers until further notice.

But that’s made emails like these an even more important tool when it comes to getting the resources we’ll need to run a campaign that will win come this November. So we’re asking:

If you can, and only if you can, would you make a contribution of any amount towards our mid-April fundraising goal? The deadline expires at midnight and a donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated.

We say this a lot but only because it’s true: grassroots supporters and donors are the beating heart of this campaign. Cory will never accept a dime from federal lobbyists or corporate PACs so we rely on emails just like these to fuel our movement. We set monthly goals for our digital fundraising program at the beginning of each month, but with the public health crisis, we’ve had to adjust those goals upwards even more in order to make up the difference.

As always, you can be sure the team will be working every day to stretch each one of your hard-earned dollars as far as it will go to keep Cory in the Senate and help the Democrats take back the majority.
