Friends,
With inflation below 3.5%, supply chains stabilized, wage growth normalizing, and interest rates soon to decrease, the time is ripe for policymakers to urgently focus on long-term solutions to the cost-of-living crisis.
Envision a future where our economic successes also correlate with affordable housing. This would alleviate financial burdens and enhance citizens' economic well-being and happiness.
The problem: Mortgage rates have surged, making homeownership seem unattainable. Rising borrowing costs make debt repayment more burdensome than ever before.
The struggle is real.
Solutions require leadership and political will.
We can confront the housing crisis head-on by uniting at the local, state, and federal levels and collaborating with the public and private sectors.
The problem may seem complicated, but the solution is based on simple supply-and-demand economics. Building five million units may seem daunting, but I want to raise all of our voices in Congress to get it done.
Friends, will you join our fight?
Onward!
