<[link removed]>HELP JILL GET ON THE IL BALLOT <[link removed]>We have a lot of work to do to clear the hurdle in Illinois - but I have some exciting news to share.

I’ve been campaigning in Illinois for the last few days, and the response has been incredible. One of the standout events in our jam-packed schedule was a meeting in Chicago with community organizers from Breaking Barriers Mentoring. After a lively conversation about the election, politics, and issues from universal healthcare and rent control to reparations, some of these powerhouse activists shared that they never actually felt they had a reason to vote before now - but now they’re ready to go all out for our campaign and help us collect the thousands of signatures we need!



Unlike some of the professional petitioning firms that do paid petitioning around the country for candidates and issues across the political spectrum, these are deep-rooted community activists representing working-class and low-income communities whose residents are mostly Black and people of color. They’re ready to put their formidable organizing skills to work collecting the signatures we need in their neighborhoods around Chicago. Now we just have to raise the money to offer them fair and just compensation for this critical work.

Earning ballot access nationwide would give us the power to make our challenge to empire and oligarchy as strong as possible - but it all depends on our ability to mobilize now to go all out in Illinois for the next two weeks.
