Join me this week as we call for protection for DACA recipients, undocumented youth, and our communities.
Hi John,
My name is Grace Yeo and I am the Digital & Design Manager at Immigrants Rising. Today, I am in D.C. with my colleague Madeleine Villanueva and many partner organizations, advocates, and community members who all gathered in light of the 12th anniversary of DACA.
This week, join Immigrants Rising and the Home Is Here Coalition to call for protection for DACA recipients, undocumented youth, and our communities! ([link removed])
For me – and for many of us – this anniversary is a moment of complex emotions as we recognize the fragile, uncertain fate of DACA and how millions of immigrants and our loved ones are excluded from the program. For over 10 years, the DACA program protected individuals from deportation and opened doors to opportunities that required employment authorization. Yet, for the past seven years, the program faced ongoing threats at the court and now awaits the decision by the 5th Circuit Court.
One thing for certain, I know, is that Immigrants Rising and our community are resilient and will not stand on the sidelines. We pave new paths, look for new opportunities, and find ways to thrive – not just for our own, but for future generations as well.
Will you join me this week as we urge Congress and the Biden Administration to protect DACA and provide permanent solutions for millions?
