In case you missed it, here’s a quick update on the atrocious, abysmal, appalling state of the GOP:

Their leader became a 34-time convicted felon;

A House Republican said that Black Americans were better off under the brutal tyranny of Jim Crow;

Senate Republicans blocked a bill protecting women’s access to contraception. (Yes, one of America’s two major political parties is proudly ANTI-CONTRACEPTION.);

Another House Republican launched a disgusting verbal tirade at Dr. Fauci during a hearing, saying he should be “tried for mass murder;”

Just before the 80th anniversary of D-Day, 46 House Republicans voted to strike all funding for NATO operations in Europe — you know, that continent where one of our greatest geopolitical rivals is waging a brutal war of conquest against our ally.
Busy few weeks in MAGA-Land, huh?

I know that list is distressing, to say the least. But one thing you’ll never hear me say is that things are hopeless.

We humans have taken on extraordinary challenges — challenges worse than what America is facing now — and I believe there’s always hope for a better tomorrow.

I can’t promise that your $5 or $10 donation is going to save our democracy or restore world peace. But I can promise that it’ll help decent people stay in public office, and really, that’s half the battle.

In the name of a better tomorrow, will you chip in a few bucks to my pro-science, pro-choice, pro-democracy campaign? [[link removed]]
