Hey John,

My name is Ryan Feldman. I’m Josh’s new Campaign Manager — that’s me with our campaign dog Cali! (How can you not love that face?) ☝️

I’m super excited to introduce myself and tell you why we need your support to win one of California’s most competitive races this year. (My goal is to raise $2,000 from my very first email to the team, so I’ll leave a link here if you can chip in to help us keep CA-9 blue.)

I may be new to the Campaign Manager role, but I’m not new to Team Harder. In fact, I’m originally from Northern California and have been working for Josh for close to 5 years! Now I’m incredibly excited to be stepping into this new position and taking the reins of the campaign.

I’ve seen up close how much Josh cares about the members of our community. Whether it’s fighting to protect access to healthcare, supporting mental health initiatives for young people, or working to combat wildfires, Josh is in this fight to make a difference for our families.

But this year, the GOP leadership in Washington is targeting Josh like never before. They’ve already recruited their “Dream Candidate” to run against him and they recently purchased $2 million in TV spots in our media market! I knew it was serious when I saw a poll that showed Josh down by 4 points.

We’re doing everything in our power to keep this seat blue. That means preparing our own TV and digital ads (in both English and Spanish!), growing our field organizing programs including a massive Latino organizing effort, and building the momentum it will take to re-elect Josh this November.

The truth is: We can’t do any of this without your support. Josh doesn’t accept a dime of corporate PAC money, so I’m hoping I can count on you to chip in now to help reach my goal of raising $2,000 and kickstart our campaign going into the summer!
