PFAW Member,

The coronavirus pandemic has laid bare the economic disparities in the U.S. While the ultra-wealthy are largely shielded from the worst of this pandemic, millions of lower-paid working people (many without healthcare) in hands-on jobs like grocery clerks, food and package delivery, and healthcare aides must continue to show up to work, risking infection and often traveling to their jobs on public transit.

Add your name today and demand that Congress prioritize relief for those who are suffering most during this pandemic, not corporations and the ultra-wealthy! >>

While Congress has passed three rounds of coronavirus legislation, too much of the aid is unnecessarily bailing out corporations and wealthy business owners without providing enough aid to laid-off workers, healthcare providers, and communities most in need. Now after providing billions in relief for corporations, Trump and his Republican allies in Congress are demanding billions more, even while they continue opposing measures to hold businesses accountable for how the money is spent. As part of future relief, Trump also wants to cut the capital gains tax rate, further benefiting wealthy Wall Street investors.

It’s clear who Republicans are looking out for in this crisis.

This April 15th, the day we normally file our taxes, tell Congress that taxes are essential to ending economic inequality so that we can create an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy few. Instead of allowing the rich and corporations to enjoy ludicrous tax breaks, we need to be putting aid where the need is greatest.

Tell Congress to put an end to the self-dealing for corporations and the ultra-wealthy in the next coronavirus relief package >>

Stay safe and stay healthy,

- Zach, PFAW

Radical Right extremists are trying to turn back the clock on a century of advances in civil rights, women’s rights, workers’ rights, the social safety net and more… With Donald Trump in the White House, they’re waging an all-out assault on the fundamental pillars of our country – democracy, checks and balances, a fair and independent judicial branch, and core values like fairness, equality, and justice for all.

PFAW is fighting back every day with:

✔ Grassroots organizing
✔ Lobbying and advocacy
✔ Research and education
✔ Voter mobilization
✔ And more…

But we can’t do this vital work without the robust grassroots financial support of our members and activists.

Please help fund the fight for progress and stand against right-wing extremism with an urgently needed donation to PFAW today>>
