Hey John,
Advocates for Youth’s newest project, Hope in a Box, is built on the idea that LGBTQ-inclusive books can cultivate empathy and ensure every LGBTQ student feels safe, welcome, and included at school.
Our Act Out network of youth activists is built on the idea that students can stop hateful policies and support LGBTQ students by organizing, setting strategic goals, and taking action to achieve them.
Register here to join us next Monday at 7:30pm EST (4:30pm PST) as the two programs come together for a student-led discussion on how — no matter what state or community you're in — it is possible to make your school LGBTQ-inclusive.
High school students and recent grads from Mississippi, California, Illinois, and New York are so excited to share how students and educators in their schools have worked with (or sometimes worked around):
- Including LGBTQ-inclusive stories in curricula
- Increasing youth-adult partnerships at school
- Navigating hostile school environments
- And more!
Please register here to learn from and support these powerful students this Pride Month.
Thanks so much,
Armonte Butler
