There are some things money can’t buy, but for everything else…

John, It's Dan — Director of Organizing and Digital Engagement at the Jane Fonda Climate PAC!

I have a question: What is it worth to you to elect bold climate champions, end the fossil fuel industry’s influence on our government, and ensure a livable, clean energy future for the generations to come? $5? Maybe more?

I’ve long been inspired by people who use their resources and their platforms to affect change in a way I could never imagine.

People like Jane, who have been protesting and demonstrating longer than I’ve been alive. People like Nalleli Cobo, who have chosen to respond to the deadly health impacts of fossil fuel pollution with years of dedicated advocacy for countless frontline communities whose health is under threat every day merely for existing in a certain location.

I know I probably sound like a Mastercard credit card commercial when I say this, but there are truly some things money can’t buy, like the inspiration, motivation, and persistence of my climate heroes.

But the unfortunate reality is that when it comes to winning elections, money talks. That’s why I’m asking you to contribute $5 to help the Jane Fonda Climate PAC close our $25,000 end-of-quarter fundraising gap between now and the end of June >>>

Here’s why your support today is crucial:

$5 could be the difference between electing leaders who are ready to challenge the fossil fuel industry and those who continue to support harmful environmental policies.

$5 could be the difference between having the resources to implement a robust field program that mobilizes pro-climate voters in competitive districts, and missing our chance to connect with those voters.

$5 could be the difference between spreading the word about clean energy and climate justice, and letting Big Oil dominate the conversation. I know it may seem like a stretch to say any one of those things will actually be the deciding factor in any given race, but I’m really not exaggerating. This quarter alone, two of our endorsed climate champions won their races by shockingly small margins.

Molly Cook is now headed towards her first full term as the first openly LGBTQ+ member of the Texas State Senate because she won by a margin of only 74 votes. And in Berkeley, Igor Tregub won his city council seat by less than 50 votes.

With less than 5 months until Election Day, we have the opportunity now to come together and make sure that our climate champions have the resources they need to win in some very tough races.

Are you with us? If so, please chip in $5 (or perhaps even more!) to help us meet our make-or-break goal on June 30th and continue our critical work. Your support at this moment is more powerful than you might realize.

I can’t thank you enough,

Dan Rowe
