John,

Weeks after I was sworn in as a US Senator, I made the decision to seek
treatment for depression. Asking for help is the hardest step to take
sometimes – but it works.

Before I sought help for my depression, I was the biggest cynic. As I
reflect, the resources and support I received from my care team truly
worked and helped me turn my mental health around.

Now, as a Senator and as someone who has been there, I’m committed to
ensuring that everyone suffering from mental health challenges has access
to the same resources and treatment that I did.

It’s why I partnered with my colleague, Senator Tina Smith, to introduce a
bill to establish the Senate Commission on Mental Health. It’s one big
step towards achieving my commitment to expand mental health resources.

We’re just getting started on our path,
John. [ [link removed] ]If you share my vision
of expanded mental healthcare access for every American, will you
contribute $5 to help me see this to the finish line?

My colleagues from both parties were so supportive of my decision to seek
help, but there were others that weren’t so kind.

You see, there is a deep rooted negative stigma surrounding mental health
in our society. The truth of the matter is that our mental wellbeing is
just as important as our physical health – and should be seen as such!

I am dedicated to ending the stigma and using the resources I have as a
Senator to uplift and expand every Americans’ access to high-quality
mental health care.

I am fighting each day to make that a reality,
John. [ [link removed] ]Can I count on your
support to keep me in this fight through a $5 contribution?
