It’s manifesto week but there is a crater sized policy-hole at the centre of this election campaign.
Since the last general election, we have had the hottest year globally on record and the temperature in the UK has breached 40C for the first time – something meteorologists didn’t expect for decades.
The other parties should be vying with each other to spell out their plans to tackle the overlapping climate and nature crises. Instead they have been silent.
John, political failure in the next parliament is not an option. We must get four Green MPs elected to hold the next Government to account on climate. |

This is a critical decade for the climate crisis.
But only the Green Party is proposing climate action at the scale and speed needed to tackle the escalating global emergency.
And we have never been better placed to make a breakthrough with four brilliant target candidates and, for the first time, credible and committed Green activists standing as candidates in every single constituency in England and Wales, bar one.
That’s why we need your help, John, to support a massive communications campaign and get our message out to millions of voters.
We must end the game of Russian roulette with the planet, and force the next parliament and Government to stop backtracking on Green pledges and take the Climate Emergency seriously.
