Missouri taxpayers deserve elected leaders who are accountable and transparent, and not beholden to special interests. As Governor, I will focus on streamlining government and making Missouri a destination state for businesses, workers, and families. With the right leadership, Missouri can lead the nation in growth and quality of life, but it starts with vision, accountability, and integrity.

• Protect Our Elections: As Secretary of State, I made Missouri one of the most secure states in America for election integrity, and as Governor, I will make us #1. I blocked the Biden Administration from sending armed federal agents to monitor our elections, instituted voter photo ID, banned ballot drop boxes, and banned private money from funding our elections.

• Institute Zero-Based Budgeting: Over the last six years, state government spending has nearly doubled from $28 billion to $51 billion. Automatic annual spending increases, without justification, have contributed to this explosion. As Governor, I will institute zero-based budgeting to make sure each department and agency does a thorough review of their budgets and justifies annual funding requests. We will incentivize government employees’ efforts to eliminate waste and find savings.

• Ban Hostile Foreign Land Ownership: I authored the legislation to ban the sale of land to China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, and Russia, and as Governor, I will make sure it becomes law. With global economic and national security threats surrounding us, there is no reason to sell our land to our enemies.

• End Woke ESG Investing in State Pension System: Our state employees’ pension system should be focused on getting the best return for its members and the taxpayers who fund it, not pursuing political agendas. I will prohibit the use of woke ESG investment policies.

• Stabilize Funding for the Missouri Veterans Commission: Government bureaucrats and politicians have been raiding the Missouri Veterans Commission’s funding for years, leaving a $24 million deficit and the threat of closing some of the state’s veterans’ homes. This is inexcusable and an insult to the men and women who’ve served our country. As Governor, I will stabilize funding for the Commission and work with veteran leaders to make sure Missouri honors our commitment to our veterans.
