This isn't how I wanted to start the week, friend. I just met with my campaign team, and, well, there's no sugarcoating this: We need June to be our biggest month yet.

This is when we need to start making budget decisions for the fall, so our goals are higher – and more important – than ever before. We've got a big FEC deadline coming up on June 30th, but we can't wait until the last few days of the month to raise the money we need to fight back against the GOP's attacks.

Republicans are already spending record-breaking amounts in Ohio – making this the most expensive Senate race in the country – because they know this race will decide Senate control.

We need to keep up if we're going to win, so my team and I set an ambitious $200,000 24-hour goal to get us back on track. Please, friend, will you chip in now to help us get there?

I wouldn't ask if it weren't urgent. Mitch McConnell-aligned super PACs made their largest TV ad reservations in any state ever on attack ads against me. My Trump-backed opponent, Bernie Moreno, dumped $4.5 million of his own personal fortune to try to buy this seat. And now, polls show us statistically tied.

Unlike my self-funding opponent, I can't write my campaign personal checks like Moreno can. I'm running a true grassroots campaign, which means I'm counting on folks like you chipping in early and often to get us across the finish line.

So please, friend, I'm personally asking: Will you chip in $5 or more right now to help us reach our $200,000 goal, win in Ohio, and keep the Senate blue?
