** Co-Management’s Future
------------------------------------------------------------

This is our opportunity to demonstrate a groundswell of support for a new framework for public lands management—one that uses Traditional Indigenous Knowledge to safeguard and harmonize ancestral Tribal lands, biodiversity, and responsible recreation.

With your support, we can uphold and defend a collaborative management plan that reflects time-tested best practices, protects the biodiversity of the land, and balances sustainable access for all.

Your comments influence what gets incorporated into the final Monument plan. Share your love and passion for Bears Ears, we want to hear it - every comment matters!

** Did You Know You Helped Us Become The First?…Again!
------------------------------------------------------------

This is the first time a commission of Tribes has collaborated in preparing a resource management plan (RMP) for a national monument. Another first! Your support allows us to continue our work in making change, innovating, and creating new pathways towards a better future.

This draft RMP signifies a critical shift in the sustainable management of public lands towards incorporating the leadership and traditional knowledge of the Indigenous peoples whose ancestors successfully stewarded these lands and resources for thousands of years. Alternative E, the alternative that most aligns with Tribal values, best reflects an ecosystem-based approach and the Tribal input provided during the period leading up to the release of the draft RMP.

As the first national monument proposed by a coalition of Tribal Nations, the designation of Bears Ears as a national monument is unprecedented—and the plan for managing its lands and resources must be too. Submit your comment by June 11.
