please do join us next week when we launch 2024’s Uncontacted Tribes Week

Dear Jack,

The world's remaining uncontacted Indigenous tribes are the most self-sufficient peoples on the planet. And yet their survival is on a knife edge. The industrialized world's endless hunger for natural resources risks not only our planet, but also the immediate survival of uncontacted peoples.

Loggers are ripping up the rainforests of some uncontacted tribes, such as the Mashco-Piro in Peru.

Others, like the Hongana Manyawa in Indonesia, try to stop the bulldozers as their land is literally stolen from under their feet by corporations digging up nickel for electric car batteries.

So please do join us next week when we launch 2024’s Uncontacted Tribes Week. It’s a chance to take action that could help decide whether these peoples survive, or are cast aside in the name of “progress.”

We’ll send you a brief email each day with a suggestion for what you can do that takes just two minutes – and, for those who have time, pointers on how to get more involved.

The forces ranged against uncontacted tribes are hugely powerful, from governments to multinational corporations, so the odds are massively stacked against them.

They desperately need your support, even though they don't know you, and will never know that you've helped.

Best wishes,

Caroline Pearce
Director of Survival International
