Friends,
For many service workers, the threat from coronavirus is especially
severe.
All across the country, hotels, stores, bars, restaurants, and other
businesses are being forced to close their doors. Many are reducing hours
or going out of business entirely.
Too many service workers already live paycheck-to-paycheck, and now
they're facing layoffs and uncertainty with how they will pay rent and
make ends meet.
And last month, Mitch McConnell put forward a stimulus bill that would
have handed corporations fistfuls of money while leaving American workers
behind.
That’s why today we are supporting UNITE HERE, which gives funds directly
to service workers affected by the pandemic who find themselves out of
work.
