California megamillionaire Eric Hovde went on Fox Business earlier this week to tout his Wisconsin Senate campaign, and it went about as well as you’d expect.

While trying to hide his California ties and prove to Wisconsinites that he actually lives here, Hovde mistakenly claimed that he’s “never been a resident of Wisconsin.” We’ll let Hovde’s slip-up speak for itself…

But all joking aside, his interview also uncovered an alarming update about our Senate race. Hovde revealed that his campaign’s internal polling has him just one point down.

Hovde’s surge in the polls means the GOP’s ad blitz is working. On top of the nearly $8 million Eric Hovde has already spent on advertising, Tammy is currently being attacked by five different outside groups, backed by everyone from Republican billionaires to Hovde’s own brother.
