Eight months and at least 36,700 deaths later the Biden Administration still doesn’t seem to understand that international law applies to them and Israel too. 

Matthew Miller, the spokesperson for the State Department on Thursday said “Israel has a right to try and target those civilians” while discussing how the Israeli attack on a UN School that killed 40 people, including 14 children, doesn't cross Biden's “red line”.

The State Department later tried to clarify Miller’s statement to mean “Hamas fighters” rather than “those civilians.”

But that ghastly slip of the tongue doesn’t look far from the truth after Israeli forces infiltrated and raided the Nuseirat refugee camp to slaughter nearly 300 Palestinians – all to rescue four hostages.

There are unconfirmed reports that Israeli forces used the US-constructed pier to infiltrate the camp among aid shipments, as well as claims that the raid resulted in the deaths of several hostages.

The Biden administration denies that the aid pier was used in the raid, but they do openly admit to supporting the operation with US intelligence.

Whether or not we ever learn the truth about the extent of US military involvement in this particular raid, there are a few things we do know for certain:

Israel is murdering dozens, sometimes hundreds of Palestinians every single day, aided by direct, material support from the United States government.

The fight for Palestinian liberation is also a fight for our nation’s soul. It’s a fight we cannot and will not lose.
