Friends,

Our country is facing the worst public health crisis of our lifetimes — all of our lives have been upended and the future seems uncertain.

And yet I’m amazed at the resolve and resilience of the American people in the face of this crisis. Despite failures of leadership, Americans everywhere are coming together to face this new challenge, and I know we’ll do the same as we head to the polls this year to elect new leaders.

In this campaign, we have faced almost every possible type of obstacle — from a 2018 race that no one thought could be won to flagrant voter suppression — and now we face a pandemic. But the issues that we are here to fight for: health care, support for working families, our children’s future, our democracy — are even more important now. Every day I get up, I look at the news, and I become more determined than ever to win this fight. And I know you do too.
