The confirmation hearings for Donald Trump's pro-corporation, ultra-conservative
nominee -- Neil Gorsuch -- began today.

There's no question that he'd be a disaster if confirmed to the Supreme Court.

Gorsuch hasn't shied away from making his right-wing political views known in his
public statements throughout his career and rulings.

He's a strong opponent of common sense gun regulations -- that's why the NRA
is spending big bucks to make sure he gets confirmed.

He sided with Hobby Lobby in the notorious case that allowed employers to refuse
to provide contraceptive coverage to their female employees.

He believes that corporations are people, and has continually ruled against working
people in cases that involve allegations of employers discriminating against
employees because of their race, sex, age, and disability. In one noteworthy case,
he was the lone judge to rule against a trucker who was fired when he abandoned
his trailer to avoid freezing to death.

And if all that weren't enough to make you question Neil Gorsuch's ability to rule
impartially and fairly, he has even written about his personal disdain for liberals
using the judicial system to protect the civil rights of all Americans.

With a dangerous GOP-controlled Congress and an unstable president, the last
thing we need is a Donald Trump toady like Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court.

Democrats are standing together to make sure that Neil Gorsuch isn't confirmed
