Have you taken a look at the party platform the Kansas GOP put forward this year?

It’s about as extreme as it gets. It calls for banning same-sex marriage, taking away abortion rights, and restricting Medicaid access — so that Kansans who can’t afford health insurance will lose access to the care they need.

The fact is, I’m the only federally elected Democrat in Kansas — and Republican insiders are determined to replace me with someone who will rubber-stamp their extreme agenda.

That means this is going to be one of the hardest-fought races in the entire country, and the Kansas GOP’s proposals make the stakes clearer than ever. Can I count on you to pitch in and help me defend this seat from the extremist special interests who are determined to defeat me?

Let me be clear about this: I’ve won tough races before, and I’m ready to do it again, even in the face of relentless attacks against me. As a former MMA fighter, I won’t go down without giving it my all, and then some — which the Kansas GOP knows full well:

It’s about bringing more freedom and opportunity to every corner of our district — and stopping extremists from getting the power to dictate how we live our lives.
