This was the program's first state victory, following its first Long Island championship and its first state semifinal game. As a Sayville High School alumni, Andrew is proud to offer his congratulations to the team and to coach Gary Jensen for an incredible and historic season and for the hard work and dedication that led to this win. Enjoy it! Eagle Scout is the highest rank a Boy Scout can achieve. Since the rank of Eagle Scout was established, only 4% of Scouts have successfully earned this rank. Andrew was proud to provide Congressional Certificates of Recognition for this impressive achievement. Lindy Cares Holds Scholarship Awards Night This week, Lindy Cares held a Scholarship Awards Night to celebrate the accomplishments and aspirations of their young scholars and participation in the work of their coalition to serve our youth. The mission of Lindy Cares is to provide an opportunity for members of the community to come together in offering awareness, knowledge, and education to prevent underage drinking and substance misuse among our youth and in time adults. CASEWORK HIGHLIGHT: Correcting IRS Tax Mistake A constituent contacted our office after the IRS incorrectly charged her for taxes on a grant she had received to replace her septic system. Andrew's casework team contacted the IRS to clear up the discrepancy and ensure her taxes owed reflected the correct amount. Andrew knows how frustrating dealing with bureaucracy can be. That is why he has an entire team dedicated to helping constituents get what they need from the government. If you need help dealing with a federal agency, contact our office and our team will get to work on your case. KEEPING UP WITH CONGRESS Andrew Votes To Provide For Servicemembers and Veterans and Bolstering Our National Security This week, the House passed H.R. 8580, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025, which would provide appropriations for military construction, the VA, and related agencies that deliver for our veterans and servicemembers, bolster our national security, increase deterrence in the Indo-Pacific region, and cut woke initiatives. Andrew was proud to vote for this legislation. He will always stand with the brave men and women who serve our country. Andrew Opposes Unjust ICC Warrants For Israeli Leaders Radical International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Karim Khan recently announced warrants for the arrest of the Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister for alleged war crimes in Gaza. This is absurd. Hamas’ barbaric October 7th attacks on Israel claimed the lives of over 1,200 Israelis and was the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. Going after a terrorist group that brutally slaughtered innocent Israeli civilians and still holds many hostages is not a “war crime” – it’s defending Israel’s right to exist and ensuring a vicious attack like October 7th never happens again. America stands with Israel against terrorists—and the International Criminal Court should, too. This week, Andrew voted to condemn this action. If the ICC insists on targeting Israel, a democracy defending itself against evil, the U.S. must stand against them and ensure there are consequences for these international bureaucrats. Andrew Speaks On The Importance Of Domestic Energy Production This week, Andrew spoke at the POLITICO Energy Summit about the critical need to bolster domestic energy production and return to American Energy Independence. By producing more energy here at home we can lower energy costs for Americans, and reduce reliance on foreign adversaries like Russia and China. That's why he's been a leading voice for permitting reform and efforts to return to American energy dominance. Thanks for reading! Do you know someone who might like to receive these updates?
