I’m running for Congress in Texas’ 31st to defeat Trump’s MAGA ally, John Carter, and we’re officially one of the most competitive races in the country.
It’s starting to feel like everyone is watching our campaign — the outcome of our race could decide whether or not Democrats regain control of the U.S. House next year. So today, I’m personally reaching out to you for help to defeat John Carter.
My district is a key target of Democrats hoping to regain the U.S. House this year. We must do what it takes to defeat John Carter this November. Will you pitch in $15 to help keep me in the fight? |
My campaign has the momentum we need to flip TX-31 blue and regain the House majority.
Carter just barely kept his seat in Congress in 2018. In 2020, my district voted to elect Biden for President over now 34-time convicted felon, Donald Trump. And TX-31 has only turned even bluer these past four years.
At the same time that we're growing bluer, my opponent has veered increasingly far-right, aligning himself with convicted felon Donald Trump at every opportunity in Congress. John Carter is out of step with the folks living here, and it’s made him the most vulnerable Republicans in Congress right now.
That’s why Republicans are pouring money into Carter’s campaign to attack me and harass our campaign. We’re no longer just competing against a member of Congress — I’m now competing against the entire MAGA political machine. If I don’t have enough resources to counter their attacks, our campaign doesn’t stand a chance. And even worse: Republicans will likely maintain control over Congress for yet another two years.
