You might not know this, but my grandmother, Clara Mortenson Beyer, was a pioneer in labor and workers’ rights, and was instrumental in implementing minimum wage legislation. But now, we’re facing a crisis for working Americans again – and I’m committed to continuing my grandmother’s legacy.

Not only did Governor Youngkin veto a bill that would raise Virginia’s minimum wage to $15, but in the House, we’re fighting to pass bills that would defend workers’ rights to organize, which are being opposed by Speaker Johnson and the MAGA right at every turn.

That’s why I’m emailing you, friend. We have two CRITICAL elections coming up: both this November to determine the fate of the House, Senate, and White House, and then again in 2025 to determine the future of Virginia.
