Dear John,
It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting
for our conservative values.
This week, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office finally dismissed the case
against State Trooper Ryan Londregan. If you’ve been following our updates, you
know I’ve been vocal in calling for the resignation of the far-left, anti-law
enforcement prosecutor, Mary Moriarty. She blatantly ignored the facts and
testimony that cleared Trooper Londregan from the start, allowing her radical
anti-police bias to fuel a pointless, months-long witch hunt. In the end, she
had no choice but to admit what the experts knew all along: Trooper Londregan
was completely justified in using force to protect his partner’s life. While I
am pleased with Trooper Londregan’s vindication, the concerns I raised with
Governor Walz and the House Judiciary Committee remain unchanged. Mary Moriarty
is unfit for office and should be investigated for misconduct, so what she did
to Trooper Londregan and his family may never happen again.
Protecting the unborn is not an extreme position. I made that clear in my
recent remarks at a meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Most Americans
believe there should be sensible limitations on abortion. Democrats, however,
push for radical, unrestricted abortion policies that only a fringe fraction of
the population supports. Unrestricted abortion access isn't about choice; it’s
an agenda that disregards the sanctity of life. That’s why House Republicans
and I are fighting to give women real choices and support. I introduced theHOPE
Act to provide the resources and knowledge needed to help women confidently
choose life. Democrats, however, are trying to block these efforts, showing
they only want one option for women: abortion. I’ve been pro-life for my entire
life. Every child is a blessing, with a God-given right to life. But I also
believe an essential part of being pro-life is giving mothers the resources
they need to be mothers. None of this should come across as extreme, because it
is not. I am proud to stand with mothers and babies against the Democrats’
radical abortion agenda.
Early this week, Joe Biden signed an executive order to limit asylum requests
at the border. All I have to say is: too little; YEARS late. This is a blatant
political play with an election on the horizon. Don’t be fooled, Joe Biden
doesn’t care about the crisis on our borders. He created it to appease radicals
in his own party and shortly thereafter lost control of it. And Democrats sure
as heck don’t care about it either. They refused to move on H.R. 2Secure the
Border Act, which would have actually secured the border, finished the wall and
supported our border agents. Instead, they pieced together a ridiculous
Schumer-led asylum bill and sold it as a silver bullet to the crisis. The
American people are not dumb. If Joe Biden and the Democrats cared about the
border they would have done something about it years ago.
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with.
Thank you for your continued support!
With gratitude,
