Dear John,
We’ve had an exciting week.
You may have seen our campaign.
We asked our supporters to send a letter to their local newspaper, highlighting the importance of extending transition until after we’ve dealt with coronavirus.
We were amazed with the results!
Best for Britain letters showed up in newspapers all over the country, and they are still pouring in. It’s been so gratifying to see the passion and the eloquence of our supporters exhibited across the nation.
From fairer immigration, to international co-operation and extending transition, our supporters have been indispensable in alerting the nation, and our representatives, to the importance of these issues.
If you haven’t already, would you consider signing our petition to extend the Brexit transition period?

The UK cannot focus on getting the best deal for Britain while we fight this pandemic. And it’s not fair for us to expect the government or any other nation to prioritise trade talks while they struggle with this global crisis. Now is the time for the world to work together, and to help each other in any way we can.
We must request an extension by 1 July. We don’t have much time.

I believe, even in these worrying times, as the lockdown continues and we all must remain at home, we can still make a difference out there in the world.
As always, I hope you and your family are in good health and thank you for your support.
Best wishes,
Naomi Smith
