Remember when Jill defended herself
from the cop who was crushing her with his bike at Washington
University? In case you missed what happened at the end of April, the
students of Washington University had established an encampment to
protest the school’s financial holdings in Boeing, which is producing
some of the munitions being used against the people of Gaza just a few
miles away in their St. Charles facility.
Jill and her team were invited by the students to visit their Gaza
Solidarity encampment. Once there, it was apparent that tensions were
escalating. The student organizers asked Jill and the team to
intercede with university officials to try to de-escalate the
situation. A total of six police departments assembled on the
scene.
The cops advanced on the protesters and used their bicycles as
weapons, eventually knocking Jill to the ground. She was
then arrested and, in a demonstration of the hypocrisy of our
"justice" system, they charged HER with assault.
