A new report published last month revealed that 2,750 pro-life pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) in the United States provided over $367 million in services in 2022

John,

A new report published last month revealed that 2,750 pro-life pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) in the United States provided over $367 million in services in 2022.

One thing is clear: The pro-life movement is based on loving acts of service.

My own activism within the pro-life movement began when my grandmother took me to volunteer at a PRC with her when I was 8 years old. The experience opened my eyes to the beautiful spirit of the movement and sparked a passion in me that has remained.

In contrast to nearly 3,000 PRCs across the country, Planned Parenthood has only about 600 facilities. PRCs reportedly served more than 16 million patients in 2022, while Planned Parenthood reports just over 2 million patients in its 2022-2023 annual report.

Truly, the backbone of the pro-life movement is the consistent, loving acts of service that employees and volunteers at PRCs offer every day.

Yet Planned Parenthood is the one chosen to receive millions of dollars in federal funding. According to its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood’s federal funding has increased by 4% since the previous fiscal year, making the total nearly $700 million reported for the year ending June 30, 2023.

Those in the abortion industry are profiting off the killing of innocent children, while PRCs that actually help parents and support life receive zero federal support.

I find it noteworthy that this report about PRCs is from the year 2022, the year Roe v. Wade was overturned. In the wake of Roe, PRCs have been increasingly targeted and attacked – many times even physically vandalized – by abortion activists.

Yet these attacks have not hindered dramatic increases in pregnancy services, parenting class attendance, and paid staff among PRCs nationally.

Knowing the vital work PRCs are doing and the attacks they are receiving, Live Action is in a unique position to shed light on the good work of these centers and help support them since we have the largest national online reach in the pro-life movement.

We are proud to partner with pro-life companies like EveryLife to provide boxes of diapers to PRCs. So far, the generous donors who have contributed to our diaper drive have enabled over 3,000 boxes of diapers to be sent to mothers in need!

We are also conducting a onesie drive ([link removed] ) , which will provide more tangible help to mothers and their babies while promoting the truth that every new child is “wonderfully made.”

The work to end abortion must simultaneously include efforts to build a culture that supports family life.

We must protect every child and family from abortion and walk with families through hardships. The amazing services offered by PRCs, highlighted in this new report, lead the way.

If you work or volunteer at a PRC, I want to give you a special shoutout. You are making a profound difference, more than you may ever know, in cultural transformation.
