Happy Pride Month!

As a lifelong ally of the LGBTQ+ community, I love celebrating love — and I love Pride!

We dedicate this month to being 100% true to who you are. There’s nothing more beautiful than that.

But despite Michigan prioritizing equality, I’m constantly reminded of the attacks on LGBTQ+ Americans across the country.

National Republicans are calling for LGBTQ+ erasure. Some states have already banned sexual orientation and gender identity education from Pre-K through 8th grade. And more Republicans across the country are introducing like-minded laws to scale back LGBTQ+ rights.

The GOP’s acts of discrimination are disgraceful and alarming. And as a member of Congress, I promise I won’t stop fighting this bigotry until we have equal rights for all.

We’ve come too far to turn back the clock. Love wins, this month, and every month.
