This week, President Biden issued a disappointing and disturbing executive order on immigration that the ACLU says, “will severely restrict people's legal right to seek asylum, putting tens of thousands of lives at risk," John.

The order will shut down asylum requests at the U.S.-Mexico border if/when undocumented crossings average 2,500 per day. President Biden is also cutting down the minimum amount of time migrants have to consult an attorney from 24 hours to only 4 hours — going even further than Trump’s former policy.

These Trump-era limitations on asylum seekers will only result in more deportations and harm to migrants fleeing violence and seeking a better life for their families. Sign our petition to oppose this misguided executive order now!
