Since the early days of the Innocence Project, the heart of our work has been the belief that everyone deserves fairness and justice. A flawed system was putting innocent people behind bars, and we set out to not only free as many innocent people as possible, but to communicate the injustice and hardship of wrongful conviction.

The nine-part documentary series covers the lives and cases of eight innocent people who have been wrongfully convicted, including Chester Hollman III, Kenneth Wyniemko, Alfred Dewayne Brown, Thomas Haynesworth, Franky Carrillo, Levon Brooks, Kennedy Brewer and Keith Harward. We are hopeful that these stories of extraordinary resilience will motivate people to take action to reform our system.
