Congressman Jamaal Bowman to Attend Edenwald Community Day Event TODAY with Congressman Maxwell Frost
WHAT: Community Day event with Congressman Jamaal Bowman, Congressman Max Frost, community members, and residents of Edenwald Community Houses.
WHEN: Saturday, June 8 from 2.30-3.30pm.
WHERE: Edenwald Track and Field (1138 E 229th St, Bronx, NY 10466). Edenwald is the biggest NYCHA development in the Bronx, housing more than 2,000 families.
WHO: Congressman Jamaal Bowman, Congressman Max Frost, Bronx community members, and residents of Edenwald Community Houses.
VISUALS: Congressman Jamaal Bowman – who was raised in public housing by his single mother, who co-sponsors the Green New Deal for Public Housing, and who is a committed champion for affordable housing — will be speaking to community members, alongside Congressman Max Frost. Additionally, families will be enjoying Community Day programming, such as a bouncy castle, food, games, and more.

About Jamaal Bowman
Congressman Jamaal Bowman was an educator and advocate for public schools for over 20 years and previously served as principal for the Cornerstone Academy for Social Action (CASA), a public middle school he founded in 2009 in the Baychester neighborhood of The Bronx. Rep. Bowman is a life-long New Yorker who lives in Yonkers with his wife and children.
