I'm in El Paso for the 2024 Texas Democratic Convention, and tonight I will give the keynote speech as your Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate.
I am honored to be entrusted with the responsibility of delivering real leadership for Texas. It’s because of the people of this state, from my community in Dallas who raised me, to the coaches who supported me at Baylor and in the NFL, to supporters like you who helped me beat a 22-year Republican incumbent in 2018 that I am in this position – and I couldn’t be more grateful.
When we launched this campaign over a year ago, I knew that our race against Ted Cruz would be a tough fight. Yet at every turn this grassroots team has had my back, and I've never been more confident about our chances of winning in November.
I can’t wait to share more about what lies ahead for our campaign tonight in El Paso, but before I take the stage, I'm politely asking for your donation to keep my momentum against Ted Cruz. So please, will you chip in $5 or more to help me defeat Ted Cruz?

Six years ago, Ted Cruz won by just 2.6%, and recent polls show us neck and neck. I've been traveling all over the state meeting with voters who are fired up and ready for change.
Texans from El Paso to Laredo to Amarillo are sick and tired of Ted Cruz's culture wars and extremism. We're fed up with his attacks on reproductive freedom and playing politics with our border communities. We're done watching him embarrass our state and abandon our state when we need him most.
