Hello, Friends —

Last weekend, Ginger and I had the honor of attending the second inauguration of El Salvador’s populist president, Nayib Bukele. Just a few years ago, no person would even consider walking the streets of El Salvador. It was the most violent country in the world, and it is now one of the safest countries in the Western Hemisphere. Under the leadership of President Bukele, the country is flourishing, and it gives me great hope for America’s future. Our problems are solvable, and they can be fixed.

While in El Salvador, I was forced to witness the verdict against President Trump that was the result of corrupt charges and a corrupt trial weaponized to take down a political rival. In contrast, I was seeing El Salvador under Nayib Bukele – and its return to strong borders, a celebration of nation, and a focus on rooting out corruption. We need that level of focus on honest, fair government here in the United States.

Our leaders have prevented our country from reaching its own potential. The American people have the right values, right culture, and right direction – but our leaders are so captured by corruption that we allow our quality of life to be diminished. The leadership displayed by El Salvador proves that it doesn’t have to be that way! If this can happen in El Salvador, it certainly can happen in the greatest country that has ever existed in all of humankind.

REP. GAETZ SLAMS AG GARLAND ON ALLEGING THE DOJ COMMUNICATING WITH STATE PROSECUTORS AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP IS A ‘CONSPIRACY THEORY’

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, I grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland after he called it a “dangerous conspiracy theory” to suggest that the Department of Justice (DOJ) coordinated lawfare against President Donald Trump with state and local prosecutors. Despite his inflammatory claim, Garland refused to commit to turning over any of the DOJ’s communications with the various state and federal prosecutors.

He also seemed to have forgotten that former senior DOJ official Matthew Colangelo was appointed Senior Counsel to District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office to “get Trump” – as detailed in Mark Pomerantz’s book. This is lawfare to the fullest extent!

REP. GAETZ INTRODUCES “GUARDING AMERICAN ZONES AGAINST PALESTINIAN IMMIGRATION ACT”

On Wednesday, I introduced the “Guarding American Zones Against Palestinian Immigration Act” (GAZA Act), which would place a two-year moratorium on immigration from the Palestinian Authority to the United States.

Since the horrific October 7, 2023, attack on the state of Israel, the territory of the Palestinian Authority, including the Gaza Strip, has been a hotbed of violence and crime. Many American allies, including Israel, Egypt, and Jordan, have deemed Palestinian refugees to be dangerous and refused responsibility for accepting them. However, the Biden administration is considering allowing these refugees to come to the United States.

If Palestinian refugees are too dangerous for our allies in the region, they are certainly too dangerous for the United States. The Biden administration’s border policies have already exacerbated national security concerns across our country.

A two-year moratorium on all immigration from Palestine is a common-sense measure to ensure the safety and security of the American people. We must prioritize the protection of our nation and its citizens above all else.

I took to the House floor on Wednesday to highlight the debacle surrounding the Biden administration’s pier in Gaza. At a cost of $320 MILLION, we can only use it to deliver 7,000 metric tons of food. Remember that the next time you think your grocery bills are too high under Joe Biden.

My team was proud to participate in the groundbreaking for the ST Engineering Hangar 3 at the Pensacola International Airport this week. This 167,000 square-foot project will bring in 1,700 jobs and reinforce this area as a major national aviation maintenance hub.

We stand proudly with all the partners that helped make this dream a reality. Those partners, including ST Engineering, Triumph Gulf Coast, Escambia County, the city of Pensacola, the Florida state government, and other organizations continue to make this one of the most desirable areas to live and work. We look forward to seeing the team at the ribbon-cutting in the latter half of 2026.

It was an honor for my team to attend meetings this week at the Veterans Affairs Joint Ambulatory Care Center and receive briefings from Doctor Stephanie Repasky and her team on all the great things going on in veterans health care in this area.

These new developments include the VA partnering with the naval hospital to provide services at multiple locations, the addition of clinics in Milton and Crestview, improved service ratings by VA customers, and overall rating increases. We’re happy to report that we will continue to play our part in increasing and improving those services.

Mike Lee, Matt Gaetz, Tucker Carlson, Don Jr. travel to El Salvador for Bukele’s 2nd inauguration

“A populist party in El Salvador saw right-wing figures converge to celebrate the second inauguration of President Nayib Bukele, including notables among American conservatives... Pictures posted to social media included a number or prominent Republicans and vocal supporters of former President Donald Trump that included Florida Reps. Matt Gaetz and María Elvira Salazar, Utah Sen. Mike Lee as well as commentator Tucker Carlson and the president’s own son and future daughter-in-law, Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle.”

‘Give Us The Documents’: Tempers Flare As Matt Gaetz Grills Garland On Biden DOJ Coordination With Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis

“You come in here, and you lodge this attack that it’s a conspiracy theory that there is coordinated lawfare against Trump and then, when we say, ‘fine, just give us the documents, give us the correspondence and then, if it’s a conspiracy theory that will be evident,’ Gaetz told Garland. ‘But when you say, well, we’ll take your request and then we’ll sort of work it through the DOJ’s accommodation process than you’re, actually advancing the very dangerous conspiracy theory that you’re concerned about.’”

Rep. Gaetz Allowed to Intervene for FTC in Noncompete Ban Case

“Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) can intervene in a lawsuit over the Federal Trade Commission’s noncompete ban after a judge granted the politician’s request. Judge Ada Brown of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Tuesday granted Gaetz’s motion in the suit that alleges the FTC’s new rule outlawing the use of nearly all non-compete agreements in employment contracts exceeds the agency’s authority.”

Palestinian immigrant ban led by GOP House maverick: ‘Too dangerous’

“Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., is introducing legislation that would prevent Palestinian nationals from being resettled in the United States for two years, calling it a ‘common-sense’ measure to make sure Americans are safe. ‘If Palestinian refugees are too dangerous for our allies in the region, they are certainly too dangerous for the United States. The Biden administration’s border policies have already exacerbated national security concerns across our country,’ he said.”
