Hello, this is Sharice Davids in Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District. With less than 200 days until the November election, I asked my friend Jason if I could reach out about an important update in our race.

Listen, when I flipped a Republican-held congressional seat, it’s fair to say I broke the mold in a few ways.

Not just because I became Kansas’s only federally elected Democratic representative. But also because I’m an LGBTQ+ Native American woman and former MMA fighter who was raised by a single Army mom and worked multiple jobs to pay my own way through school.

So, no, it’s fair to say I didn’t come to Washington with your typical congressional resume.

If you think a voice like mine belongs in Congress, I’d love to have your support in this campaign, because we’re facing one tough fight in my race for re-election — and, candidly, the House majority hangs in the balance. Will you split a $10 contribution between me and Jason Crow today? [[link removed]]

But I also want to be clear about this: I’m not asking for your support — or anyone else’s — just because of who I am or the road I took to get to Congress.

I’m asking for your support because of my record: what I’ve used my voice to fight for in Washington, and what I’ll keep fighting for if I have the privilege of continuing to serve. My philosophy has always been that we need leaders who are grown-up enough to put partisanship aside and get things done.

That’s why I’m proud to have helped create over 20,000 clean-energy jobs right here in KS-03. It’s why I’m proud to have saved seniors money on insulin and passed a bipartisan infrastructure law that’s kick-started construction on over 300 vital projects across Kansas.

And it’s why I’m so determined to restore abortion rights, defend our democracy, and make our economy work better for Americans who are struggling today — because together, we’ve tackled tough problems and weathered tough times before. And I know that we can keep making real progress if we stay in the fight.

If you’re with me, I’d be so grateful for anything you can split between Jason Crow and my campaign to help us win this critical election → [[link removed]]
