Friends --
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provided desperately needed funds for struggling Americans and for small and mid-sized businesses. In the Senate, Mark's priorities for this law have been to get aid quickly to the people who need it most and to include strong accountability measures to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse by bad actors.
This taxpayer money should be used for coronavirus relief, not shareholder bailouts, CEO salaries, or political favors. But in the weeks since it became law, President Trump has been working to undermine these crucial accountability measures. That's why Mark Warner needs your help today.
Will you add your name to Mark's petition calling for accountability and oversight on coronavirus relief stimulus funds?

Just the other day, the President fired the federal watchdog chosen to oversee the stimulus package money. With Donald Trump now exerting his personal influence over the coronavirus stimulus, we can't let political interference in our nation's pandemic response go unchecked.
Add your name if you agree we need oversight for coronavirus stimulus funds.

We can't let the president undo the critical oversight and protections Mark and his colleagues in the Senate fought to include in the CARES Act. The point of passing this package was to get aid to those who need it in the wake of the pandemic. We need independent oversight to make sure funds are distributed appropriately, especially with a stimulus package of this size. By firing the acting inspector general, Trump is signaling that he's unwilling to do what's necessary to provide oversight on the stimulus package.
Will you sign Mark's petition demanding that the administration allow accountability and transparency over the CARES Act?
