This headline from CNN's Senior Political Data Reporter might make your eyes pop out of your head, folks. But as a guy who is a nerd for numbers, here's what stood out to me:

23 vs. 11

Democrats are defending 23 Senate seats this year. Republicans are only defending 11.

Democrats are running for Senate in states Trump won in 2016 or where he is up by at least 5 points in polls right now.

Seats Republicans MUST flip to guarantee they control the Senate.

Is the math for us tough? Absolutely. But maps, math, and polls are just information we can use to adjust strategy and win. And that’s all up to you.
