TEXAS’ KINK OF THE WEEK? BLAME DOCTORS.

This week of course we’re gonna drag the senate for failing to protect birth control and laugh about the 20-foot IUD erected in DC, BUT our deep dives are stories from – you guessed it – Texas. 

For over a year, your Buzzkills have been following the Zurawski v. Texas, a class action suit filed by over a dozen patients who nearly lost their lives because of Texas’s inhumane abortion bans. 

Their goal? Get clarity on their fucked up abortion ban “exceptions” because what constitutes a “life-saving abortion” is so unclear that patients end up being denied care completely. This week, the Texas Supreme Court delivered a gut punch to these women, basically ruling, “Blame the doctors, not the purposefully vague and dangerous law.”

Joining us to talk about what this all means and her tremendous commitment to fight for us all is lead plaintiff in the case, Amanda Zurawski.

Two Fetus-fetishist professors at the University of Texas at Austin have filed a lawsuit for the right to FLUNK students who miss class to have an abortion or recover from an abortion. 

We couldn’t make this shit up if we tried.
