Team,
Over the coming weeks, the Supreme Court will release major decisions on reproductive freedom, guns, social media regulation, and other issues that will shape Americans’ lives.
The Court is about to rule on a case that will determine whether former President Trump can be held accountable for the January 6th insurrection—that decision could very well influence his chances at winning the White House in November.
This month of decisions follows revelations that Justice Alito flew flags of allegiance to the insurrectionists’ cause and then refused to recuse himself from cases before the Supreme Court related to January 6th. It’s just the latest reminder that there is a complete system failure at the Highest Court in the Land when it comes to ethics.
Justices are supposed to strictly avoid even the appearance of bias. No wonder public trust in the Court is plummeting.
We have to fix the ethics problem at the Court. I have a bill to get it done. Will you pitch in to support my re-election campaign so I can make sure the Supreme Court is held to an enforceable code of ethics?

I’m going to keep leading the charge to create a system of accountability at the Supreme Court that Americans can trust.
Thank you,
Sheldon Whitehouse
