John, to folks in DC, I'm Congresswoman Lois Frankel, but to my grandkids, I'm just Lolo.

In my decade-long career in Congress, I'm proud of the work I've done to make FL-22 better for my grandkids and the rest of the next generation – fighting for safer neighborhoods, crucial funding for infrastructure, and access to reproductive freedom.

But on the anniversary of Griswold v. Connecticut, amid the recent attacks on reproductive freedom, I'm reminded that their rights are still in danger thanks to far-right Republicans looking to insert themselves into our personal, private decisions.

I don't have to remind you that Florida's six-week abortion ban went into effect last month.

Not only are Republicans across the country succeeding in their attempts to hold our family planning decisions hostage, the Florida GOP have made it increasingly difficult for voters to get their voices heard. This isn't the system I want my grandkids to grow up in, John.

But the road to a better future is one where we weed out MAGA extremism by continuing to elect voices who have our best interest in mind. I'm running a people-powered campaign to keep my seat, but this year's election against a GOP opponent is shaping up to be one of my closest races yet.
